AUSTRALIA - Australian Container Freight Services (ACFS), a freight container handling, transport and storage company formed in 2005 and with operating centres in Sydney Melbourne and Brisbane, have acquired the business of a former Sydney rival, Freight Central.

Both companies Sydney operations are in Port Botany and Freight Central, who started life as an airfreight deconsolidation operator before including seafreight LCL container operations into the business, will transfer all current contracts to ACFS’s own 36,000 square metre warehouse facility.

The acquisition will add airfreight and LCL services to the ACFS network which extends to a total of over 80, 000 square metres with a 100+ strong fleet of trucks.
