ITALY – CEVA Logistics has signed a three-year agreement with Mazda for the management of the distribution of spare parts for the automotive giants operations throughout Italy.
CEVA will collect spare parts from the Mazda warehouse in Klagenfurt, Austria on a daily basis and transport them to the CEVA centre at Bentivoglio, near Bologna. An estimated 120,000 packages will be sorted and distributed to some 140 Mazda car dealers and authorized repairers across Italy every year.
The company will also manage the handling and processing of returns.
Gianfranco Sgro, CEVA’s President, Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “Through the efficiency of our distribution solution, Mazda will be able to assure a rapid and punctual delivery service to its dealers, whilst optimizing transport costs.”
