Container Feeder Line Appoints Maritime Logistics Specialist

CAMBODIA – Container carrier Bengal Tiger Line (BTL) has appointed maritime and logistics service provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) to represent the company as part of its Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) trades network. Based in Singapore, BTL is a common feeder, carrying up to 900,000 TEUs per annum utilising around 25 vessels operating from the Far East to the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Sub-Continent as its core activities. The appointment comes after a long established relationship between the two companies.

With over 300 proprietary offices in 70 countries and a 4000-strong workforce, ISS claims to be the world leader in maritime and logistics service provision and ISS Cambodia is now handling the full liner agency function including sales, customer service, operational and accounting requirements for BTL in the country. The new BTL sector is operating for Cross Trade business, while also exploring any traditional common feeder service requirements.

ISS has an in depth knowledge of the local market and its dedicated BTL team will be led by Sineat Yean with a brief to help strengthen Shipper Owned Container (SOC) business in and out of Cambodian ports and Eddie Filus, Executive Vice President, Liner, ISS commented:
