GREECE – In the continued troubles that beset the Mediterranean country another 24-hour strike at ports, airports and border crossing checkpoints has been scheduled for Thursday the 11th of March.

The action is part of the continuing dissent by the Greek civil service and public to austerity measures that the government is implementing in an attempt to rein in the country’s budget deficient.

With no compromise apparently possible on this issue, freight operators and haulage companies that service the Greek market should expect such continued disruptions for the foreseeable future.
