IRELAND – UK – Irish Ferries are keen to point out the advantages of their Pembroke to Rosslare route to civilian and freight traffic alike, shipping to and from the Emerald Isle. Up to 120 articulated trucks can be accommodated on the “Isle of Inishmore” which plies the route, completing the crossing in just four hours.

With the improved links from Rosslare which now bypass Waterford and Youghal the roads into the South West of Ireland are faster than ever before. Pembroke, which sits at the very South West tip of the Welsh Coast below Milford Haven, is accessible from the end of the M4 making it convenient for vehicles approaching from the South of England.

The service runs twice a day leaving from Pembroke at 2.45 both am and pm and from Rosslare at 8.45 am and pm and freight bookings can be made here.

Irish Ferries is offering cheaper crossings for motorhomes as under the current Spring sale they are offering midweek fares up to the end of May for car plus two passengers for 89 pounds each way. The supplement for a motorhome is also on offer at 30 pounds each way which makes the total, lead-in, each way price 119 pounds for motorhome and two passengers. Details can be found by visiting http://www.irishferries.co.uk/fares-offers-ireland-from-britain.asp The comparable one-way fare on the longer night crossing from Swansea, including compulsory cabin accommodation, is 197 pounds for motorhome and two passengers. I hope that this assists Mr Knibbs and we look forward to welcoming him and his motorhome on board Irish Ferries!
