IRELAND – Last weeks Irish Logistics and Transport Awards sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport saw Irish Ferries walk off with two of the coveted prizes. The RoRo ferry group took the Overall Logistics and Transport Excellence Award plus the Passenger Transport Award in which they faced stiff competition from Stena Line, Sky Handling Partner and Dublin Taxi.
In winning the Overall Logistics and Transport Excellence Award, the top prize out of eight category prize winners, Irish Ferries was praised for its business and financial flair, their commitment to quality and for the entrepreneurial vision displayed by its management in tough economic times. To win that award, the company had to survive stiff competition from twenty-six other companies.
The awards are intended to recognise high achievement, encourage the highest standards and a professional approach to the practice of logistics and transport within Ireland.
