UK – PIANC, an international association dedicated to improving maritime navigation, has announced that their upcoming PIANC MMX Congress are to have Trelleborg Marine Systems (TMS), one of the world’s suppliers of fendering, berthing and mooring systems, as their major sponsor for the event. This year’s Congress is a double celebration as PIANC is also marking its 125th anniversary.
PIANC - whose objective is to promote both inland and maritime navigation by fostering progress in the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of inland and maritime waterways and ports - state that they anticipate a large number of delegates at the four-day congress, which is to take place in Liverpool and begins on the 10th of May.
Chairman of the PIANC UK Section, Stephen Cork, said that: “The Congress is a great catalyst for bringing the industry together to network, knowledge share and build valuable business relationships.
“Having a major partner like Trelleborg Marine Systems on board, during this special year, only adds to the attraction and calibre of the event. Up to 1,000 delegates are expected to descend on Liverpool from all corners of the globe to discuss and shape the future direction of our industry.”
