UK – Essex-based Woodland Group has completed its move into its new headquarters and has also unveiled its new look. The group has relocated from Coggeshall to larger premises in Chelmsford, offering 70,000 sq ft of warehousing space and consolidated its various brands under the Woodland name.

Commenting on the changes, Kevin Stevens, Woodland’s chairman and chief executive officer, said: “As our businesses continue to grow, it is increasingly important to be clear about what, where and how Woodland serves its customers.”

The changes come as a result of a strategic review of the group’s activities conducted last year which unites all divisions under one banner.

CMR Logistics, which provides the groups UK distribution and warehousing services, has changed its identity to Woodland Logistics whilst Bookbridge Ltd, which offers specialist logistics services for the book industry and is the fastest growing division of the group, becomes a part of Woodland Media, which provides a full international logistics and transportation solution for publishers and printers.

The remainder of Woodland’s international supply chain management, freight forwarding and customs clearance services come under the banner of Woodland Global, which provides services by air, sea and road.

In a separate development, Woodland Entertainment, which provides logistics solutions for the music, art, television and film industries, has also opened a new office, in the city of London, offering greater communication links with its clients.

Mr Stevens continued: “Enhancing our distribution capabilities, our new premises in Essex will serve as Woodland’s main warehouse facility in the south and complement our recently-opened warehouse in Rotherham, in the north of England.

“We are encouraged by our continued growth but we have no intention of resting on our laurels. These changes are about making it easier for our customers to recognise our premier offering in the transport and logistics sector and to raise awareness of the full range of services provided by the group.”
