KUWAIT - Logistics company Agility, in combination with DynCorp International Inc., has won a contract to provide logistical support to the U.S. Army in Afghanistan.

"Agility Defense & Government Services (DGS), and its partners ... have been awarded a task order for logistics support for the Afghanistan-South Area of Responsibility," Agility said in a statement. The press release added that the "award also includes four one-year option periods with a total evaluated value of $5.874 billion."

However, it did not give full details about its share of the deal and what proportion of the contract would be assigned between Agility, DynCorp and other partners.

DynCorp and Fluor Corp. have been awarded five-year contracts worth up to $7.5 billion each to support U.S. troops in Afghanistan, the U.S. Army said on Wednesday. DynCorp and its partners shall take responsibility for support in southern Afghanistan, whilst Fluor Corp. shall operate in the north of the country.
